About Hobbyhorse of Bungay
Hobbyhorse began trading on 30th October 2006 from a little shop in Nethergate Street. It soon became apparent that the shop was too small for the growing variety of stock and when the opportunity came along to move in to number 4 Market Place I couldn't believe my luck!" says Hobbyhorse owner, Sonya Remblance. The former menswear store has been transformed into what can only be described as a mini department store with separate areas relating to different hobbies and pastimes.
As a Bungay resident and mother of several active children Sonya was acutely aware of the niche in the locality for someone who could supply dance and gymwear. (Daughter, Connie, is a member of the Bungay Borders Gym Group for example). Through careful research Sonya has established some excellent wholesale suppliers and all the local dance teachers have been very helpful in pointing out which stock is most in demand.Leotards from both Milano and The Zone can be ordered online and more will be added in due course
Sonya aims to provide a local source of quality items in support of local clubs, groups, organisations and individuals that have leisure time activity, whether it be tap dancing, flower arranging or making greetings cards.

The craft area is a new initiative which has grown rapidly providing customers with an array of different materials for paper craft; jewellery making; face painting; modelling as well as foam craft; stickers etc for the children.
An ordering service is available for the more professional artist and Hobbyhorse also runs craft workshops for adults and children. A full programme is displayed on the noticeboard just inside the shop.
Whilst you are there why not take a browse at all the other things this vast shop has to offer.
