Hobbyhorse of Bungay can only be described as a mini department store with separate areas relating to different hobbies and pastimes. The main focus for Hobbyhorse is to provide a local source of quality items in support of local clubs, groups, organisations and individuals that have leisure time activity, whether it be tap dancing, flower arranging or making greetings cards. Hobbyhorse stocks gymnastic leotards, dance wear, Scout and Guide association uniforms, sports accessories and a full range of school uniforms including a new line of 100% cotton trousers, shirts, blouses and sweatshirts by Trutex. Pointe shoes from Freed of London and Gaynor Mindon can be fitted by appointment.
The craft area is a new initiative which has grown rapidly providing customers with an array of different materials for paper craft; jewellery making; face painting; modelling as well as foam craft; stickers etc for the children. An ordering service is available for the more professional artist and Hobbyhorse also runs craft workshops for adults and children. A full programme is displayed on the noticeboard just inside the shop.
